The LERNZ programme

The LERNZ programme is a series of projects that aim to restore indigenous biodiversity in lakes by developing:

  • New models and technologies to effectively manage harmful algal blooms.
  • New invasive fish management and control technologies.

The aim of the LERNZ programme is to identify and remediate threats to lake ecosystems.

Where we are

The LERNZ group is located in the R block at the University of Waikato which is next to the Environmental Research Institute building.
