Abhilasha Sharma is an MSc student who is researching water quality management of Lake Rotokauri under the supervision of David Hamilton. Abhilasha’s research will primarily look at the water quality trends of Lake Rotokauri which is now been subjected to catchment urbanization. Abhilasha’s work will involve building of a water budget for the lake, use of DYRESM-CAEDYM model to look at the water quality trend for the year 2009 and ten years on. Abhilasha will also examine the potential growth in phytoplankton populations in Lake Rotokauri.
