Associate Professor

Nick’s research is in the areas of ecophysiology and ecology of native and introduced fishes. We are currently investigating habitat specialisations in New Zealand mudfish species and interactions between native and introduced marine gobies. Research on pest fish species such as koi carp and bullhead catfish includes investigations of population biology and movement, the use and application of toxic baits and pheromones, biotelemetry and biosurveillance.
