Lake Rotoiti
General information
Lake Rotoiti is an elongated lake located partly in the Harohao caldera. It is connected to Lake Rotorua via the Ohau channel while subsurface flows connect it to Lake Rotoma and Lake Rotoehu.
Issues concerning the lake are the impacts of existing and future urban and rural developments on the water quality of the lake. The impacts the artificially maintained lake levels may have on the use of lakeside reserves are also a concern.
